Welcome to the Robotics Competition Starter Kit! The information here should help you successfully hold a robotics competion. You can find information on how to write rules, what kind of parts to use and where to find them, and some links to other competitions for additional ideas.

This page is designed to provide examples and experiences as robotics competitions are quite different from each other. That said, being listed on this page does not entail an endorsement by RAS. Feel free to take and leave information here.

Objectives

The goal. What are the competitors trying to acheive? Some examples are:

Rules

The rules of the competition govern how the competitors will strive to meet the objective. They bound the solution space. They can allow for creative solutions.

Parts

Most robotics projects involve building something. Either the competitors can find/provide their own parts, or the organizers will provide the parts, depending on the objective and rules.
