Student budgets are on a request basis. There is currently $20,000 for RAS-student workshop. Half is allocated towards travel.Couple million for all of RAS. SAC is under MAB headed by Alicia. There is also money in finance activity board if we get rejected by MAB society. Before ICRA meetings, come with initiatives and proposed funds. Ask financial director from last year about their budget.
Responsibilities for ICRA student leadership committee (first annual) - student activities purpose is to exchange best practices and coordinate local events between student chapters. How do we coordinate events? Tuesday afternoon. Surya and Alicia will be there. About a dozen students expected in society…So far, alicia has invited invite 8 student leaders internationally.
- Meetings for Carol to attend: Adcom, long term planning, fab, mab… Make sure you get ready for MAB and come with proposals!
ELENA -Need to have someone be formally in charge of publicizing “jobs wiki page (on RAS website)”
PHIL -Email Aude about student welcome parties/social -“speed dating” meet and greet at social - with buddy system so groups of 4 and you know one of those four pretty well; rotate so everyone meets everyone else at least once. ~ cultural lines, women/guy ratio,
